Ministry
At Stone Chapel and across the United Methodist Church, we love our neighbors just as we love one another - our siblings in Christ.
If you would like to hear more about us or find yourself longing for a stronger relationship with God, please reach out via any of our contact methods - email, phone, or social media. Or just stop by any Sunday morning.
Community Service
The Stone Chapel UMC congregation is often donating to local community and international Church and humanitarian causes, regularly offering hot meals to those in need, and hosting local bluegrass bands in our social hall.
We are active and always looking for additional ways to help the New Windsor and Westminster communities.

Past and Present
The history of the Methodist Church in America began during America's pre-revolutionary days.
The roots of the Stone Chapel congregation date back to 1761 when Robert Strawbridge began the first Methodist class meeting in America. Robert Strawbridge and his wife, Elizabeth, immigrated to America from Ireland in 1760 in order to be farmers, but Robert soon found himself preaching more than farming.
Together Robert and Elizabeth began hosting class meetings in their home to share the love of God and the teachings of Christ. Stone Chapel is one of the Methodist congregations that traces its roots directly back to these meetings.
Since then, Stone Chapel has been spreading the message of the Gospel through word, deed, and service to New Windsor, Westminster, and surrounding communities.
