Thanks for visiting the Stone Chapel United Methodist Church website. Our church was founded and the initial structure was built in 1780, making us one of the oldest Methodist churches in America. It has since been re-built three times on the same site, each time by using the original stones and adding new materials as the church has expanded. You can read more about that on our History tab.
Here at Stone Chapel, we the people called Methodists welcome old members and newcomers alike every Sunday. You will find a warm, informal, and inviting congregation that is excited to see you and share a little bit about who we are and what we do! Those details align with three broad themes:
Worship
Join us for joyous and prayerful worship every Sunday morning at 9:00am in-person in the Sanctuary or online on our Facebook page!
Please come as you are, no formal dress code required.
Ministry
At Stone Chapel and across the United Methodist Church, we love our neighbors just as we love one another – our siblings in Christ.
If you would like to hear more about us or find yourself longing for a stronger relationship with God, please reach out via any of our contact methods – email, phone, or social media. Or just stop by any Sunday morning.
Outreach
The Stone Chapel UMC congregation is often donating to local community and international Church and humanitarian causes, regularly offering hot meals to those in need, and hosting local bluegrass bands in our social hall.
We are active and always looking for additional ways to help the New Windsor and Westminster communities.

So, if you find yourself wanting to learn more about Stone Chapel UMC, just drop on in on a Sunday morning. You’ll be glad you did!
